Position Purpose

 

Assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom and social environments to meet instructional and social-emotional goals and objectives while contributing positively to the district culture.  This is under the direct supervision of a certified staff member. This is a part time hourly position with the potential for full time status dependent on student count.

Qualifications Profile

 

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.  Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  1. High School Diploma or the equivalent
  2. Team working relationship with teachers and support staff
  3. Ability to communicate effectively using oral and written language
  4. Supervise students in classrooms, playground, hallways and cafeteria
  5. Successful completion of all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting as required
  6. Prior experience working with special needs children desirable
